Motorcyclist flown to hospital after crash on I-80 in Warren County

KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) –  A motorcyclist was flown to the hospital following a crash on Interstate 80 in Warren County Sunday morning, according to New Jersey State Police Sergeant Alejandro Goez.

The crash happened at around 5:40 a.m. on Interstate 80 westbound at milepost 5.6 in Knowlton Township, Goez said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a motorcycle, operated by a 29-year-old man from New York, NY, was traveling west when it went off the roadway to the right, overturned and struck a guardrail, Goez said.

The driver suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Lehigh Valley Hospital–Pocono. The injuries were later determined to be non-life-threatening, Goez said.

The accident remains under investigation, Goez said.
