Motorcyclist killed in crash on I-280 in Morris County

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, NJ (Morris County) – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash early Friday morning in Morris County, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Detective Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash happened at around 1:14 a.m. on I-280 eastbound at milepost 0.5 in Parsippany-Troy Hills, Lebron said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by Jason M. Otero, 44, of Livingston, was traveling eastbound when the motorcycle ran off the road left, striking a concrete barrier and overturning, Lebron said.

As a result of the crash, Otero suffered fatal injuries, Lebron said.

The accident remains under investigation and no additional information was available, Lebron said.
