Mount Olive police charge liquor store employee with theft

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Budd Lake woman has been charged after she allegedly stole money from the cash register at Sandy’s Liquors in Flanders.

On Nov. 19, at 12:05 p.m., police responded to Sandy’s Liquors for a report of an employee theft, police said.

During the police investigation, the officer observed video surveillance of an employee, who was identified as Regina R. Matronich, 34, remove an envelope containing cash from the register, and conceal it in her clothing, police said.

Matronich was located at her home and arrested. She was charged with theft and released pending a court appearance, police said.
