Multiple mailboxes damaged on New Year’s Day in Morris Township

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Police are investigating reports of several damaged mailboxes on New Year’s Day in Morris Township.

Authorities say it happened on New Year’s Day at around 2:00 a.m. on Fieldstone Drive and Buckley Hill Road.

Some of the 30 mailboxes were completely knocked off the post and the others were slightly damaged. The street sign at the intersection for Buckley Hill and Fieldstone was also knocked over, police said.

Police are asking residents who live in the area to check their surveillance footage and notify police if anything suspicious is observed.
