New detective joins Morris County Prosecutor’s Office
MORRISTOWN, NJ (Morris County) – Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, First Assistant Prosecutor Maggie Calderwood, and Chief of Detectives Robert McNally announce the hiring of Bryan T. Blauvelt as detective for the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
Detective Blauvelt was officially sworn in at the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office on June 12. He has been assigned to the General Investigations Unit within the Courts & Administration Division.
Detective Blauvelt served as a Patrol Officer with the Randolph Police Department since 2018. While with the Randolph Police Department, he was a member of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force, which is comprised of officers from the MCPO and participating municipal departments. He also served as a Patrol Officer for the Randolph Township Police Department since 2018. Detective Blauvelt also worked as an intern with Federal Probation in Paterson, and as a lifeguard in Wayne.
Detective Blauvelt attended Monmouth University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Homeland Security. He also is a graduate of the Essex County Public Safety Academy and has completed numerous professional training courses including Proactive Patrol Tactics and the New Jersey State Police Polygraph Unit Interview and Interrogation Class.
“Detective Blauvelt has experience working alongside other members of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, having been a member of our Narcotics Task Force. He will be an excellent addition to our office and we are lucky to have his talents and expertise in our ranks,” Carroll said.
