New Jersey Task Force 1 deploys to New York following historic winter storm

New Jersey Task Force One (NJ-TF1) deployed to Eire County in New York Monday night to assist in their winter weather rescue mission.

Western New York experienced an unprecedented blizzard that has caused record snow fall and power outages.

Twenty-two members of New Jersey Task Force One along with a cache of equipment including heavy rescue trucks, snow mobiles, Argo track vehicles and off-road rescue vehicles will join local first responders who have been working throughout the storm and its aftermath.

“Good luck to NJ-TF1 as they join the heroes who are working around the clock to keep New Yorkers safe,” Governor Murphy said in a tweet.
