New Year’s Eve ball drop taken to new depths at SEA LIFE Aquarium

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – It is time to SEA-ze the New Year with a very fishy underwater ball drop.

SEA LIFE New Jersey dropped an ice ball in its 186,000-gallon Ocean exhibit with fish food for a unique underwater twist on their annual New Year’s Eve event. Creatures like sharks, stingrays and more swam around to enjoy this unique treat.

This first-ever test run got the Aquarium ready for the official Noon Year’s Eve Ball Drop event on Sunday, Dec. 31 at 12:00 p.m.

Guests can bring family and friends out to SEA LIFE Aquarium in New Jersey to celebrate their very own version of Ball Drop in the company of ‘fin’tastic creatures when the frozen fish food ball drops into the New York City themed 186,000-gallon ocean exhibit.

Guests can also get in the festive spirit with party favors such as New Year hats, tiaras, leis, and beaded necklaces handed out by their staff members before the event (while supplies last).
