NJ State Police arrest 2, seize 5 pounds of marijuana from car at Hunterdon County service area

BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – New Jersey State Police arrested two Pennsylvania men who were allegedly in possession of 5 pounds of marijuana inside a vehicle at a service area in Bethlehem Township.

Brandon Anthony Jacobo, 19, of Womelsdorf, and Abraham Santana, 21, of Reading were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

On Sept. 1, at 3:42 a.m., a trooper observed a Jeep Grand Cherokee parked in a dark, secluded area of the service area parking lot, state police said.

The trooper conducted a well-being check of the vehicle occupants. While interacting with Jacobo and Santana, the trooper allegedly discovered marijuana inside the car, state police said.

Both were lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail pending a bail detention hearing.
