
NJ State Police seeking public’s help in I-287 serious crash investigation in Bergen County
OAKLAND BOROUGH, NJ (Bergen County) – The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s assistance with a serious motor vehicle crash investigation that occurred Thursday on Interstate 287 in Bergen County.
According to state police, based on the preliminary investigation, at around 8:18 a.m., a black Ford Fusion was traveling southbound on Interstate 287 in Oakland Borough.
In the area of milepost 58, a tire detached from an unknown vehicle traveling in the northbound lanes. The tire then crossed over the center median, entered the southbound lanes and struck the Ford causing serious injuries to the driver, state police said.
