NJ state trooper and another driver injured in crash on County Route 604 in Warren County

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A New Jersey state trooper and another driver were injured after a Warren County crash Sunday afternoon, New Jersey State Police Sergeant Alejandro Goez said Tuesday.

The crash was reported on December 11 at 3:26 p.m. on County Route 604 at milepost 3.5 in Allamuchy Township, Goez said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a trooper in a marked Ford Explorer with the overhead emergency lights activated was traveling northbound en route to a motor vehicle crash, Goez said.

In the area of MP 3.5, the trooper’s car entered the southbound lane and collided with a Kia Optima, Goez said.

The trooper was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and later released, Goez said.

The driver of the Kia suffered minor injuries and was treated on scene, Goez said.

The crash remains under investigation, Goez said.
