
No injuries reported following house fire in Hunterdon County
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) -No injuries were reported following a house fire Sunday afternoon in Hunterdon County, according to the Township of Clinton Division of Fire’s Facebook page.
The fire happened at 2:58 p.m. at a residence on Haytown Road in Clinton Township, officials said.
First responders arrived on scene and observed a fire in a two and a half story residential structure. A water supply was established via the Hunterdon County Tanker Task Force, due to this area of Clinton Township not being serviced by city water, officials said.
Members operated on scene for approximately 3 and 1/2 hours. Weather conditions at the time were not a factor in the fire suppression operation although it was 27 degrees at the time of the incident, officials said.
No residents or fire department personnel were injured, officials said.
The incident is under investigation by the Clinton Township Bureau of Fire Safety, and the Clinton Township Police Department, officials said.
The responding fire companies included, Annandale Hose Company #1, Lebanon Fire Company (Ladder 18 & Engine 18), High Bridge Fire Department (Engine 14), Quakertown Fire Co. (RIT 91), South Branch Emergency Services, Hunterdon County Fire Coordinator, Hunterdon County Tanker Task Force- East, Califon Fire Company (RIT 44) and Clinton Township DPW. The stand-by companies included Whitehouse Station (Ladder 22), Fairmount Fire (Engine 34), and Clinton FD (Engine 45).
