No injuries reported in Morris County house fire

MOUNT ARLINGTON BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) – No one was injured in a Tuesday morning house fire in Mount Arlington Borough.

The fire was reported at a residence on Bertrand Island Road. Upon arrival, officers observed flames coming from the residence, police said.

Officers confirmed the residence was not occupied and that the home owner was safe, police said.

The Mount Arlington Fire Department along with surrounding fire departments responded and assisted in extinguishing the fire, police said.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
