NY man accused of taking photos of another man in Wegmans bathroom

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A New York man was charged last month after he allegedly took photos of a man in the Hanover Township Wegmans bathroom.

On Feb. 26, the Hanover Township Police Detective Bureau responded to the Wegmans, located at 34 Sylvan Way, for a report of an individual taking pictures of others while they use the bathroom, police said.

According to police, the victim stated he entered a stall and sat down to use the bathroom and as he was sitting there he looked up and noticed a phone pointing down at him. He yelled and immediately left the bathroom and informed his supervisor who contacted the police.

A description of the individual was provided and the individual matching that description was located by detectives in the men’s bathroom, police said.

After a brief investigation, Allan Jones, 35, of the Bronx was arrested and charged with invasion of privacy. He was then released pending a court appearance.
