Oh snap! Parsippany police officers rescue large snapping turtle from Route 46

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, NJ (Morris County) – Parsippany police helped rescue a large snapping turtle trying to cross Route 46 near their police station Saturday morning.

The department posted photos of officers rescuing the turtle saying, “You never know what you may come across when you are out on patrol.” 

After a quick discussion about using crosswalks, the turtle was safely moved off the roadway.
