Overturned tractor-trailer closes lanes on I-80 east in Roxbury Twp.

ROXBURY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A tractor-trailer hauling vegetables overturned on Interstate 80 in Roxbury Township early Friday morning.

The crash happened at 4:47 a.m. on the eastbound side at mile marker 32.6, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Alejandro Goez.

Two tractor trailers collided and the one overturned. The driver of the tractor-trailer that overturned, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to St. Clare’s hospital, Goez said.

As of 1:24 a.m. on Saturday, the right lane is still closed for emergency repairs.

According to radio reports, Hazmat was requested for fuel that’s leaking into the Rockaway River.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
