Pa. man thrown from motorcycle, suffers internal injuries

LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A Pennsylvania man was injured in a motorcycle crash in Lopatcong Township Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened at around 12:38 p.m. at the intersection of County Route 519 and Belview Road.

When officers arrived, they found Robert Dorsam, 69, of New Hope down in the roadway after being thrown from his 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle, police said.

Dorsam suffered internal injuries and was taken to St. Luke’s Fountain Hill Hospital, police said.

An investigation, including witness statements, determined that a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek, driven by Terezia Lazar, 79, of Phillipsburg, allegedly made a left hand turn onto County Route 519 from Belview Road into the path of Dorsam, who was unable to avoid the collision, police said.

Lazar was charged with failing to stop and yield at a stop sign.

Assisting at the scene was the Lopatcong Emergency Squad and Hunterdon Medical Center MICU and Delaware Park Chemical Engine Company No. 1.
