Package containing urn with man’s ashes stolen from Budd Lake doorstep

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Morris County CrimeStoppers is offering a $1K reward for information into the theft of a package containing an urn from a doorstep at the Village Green Apartment Complex in Budd Lake on February 26.

At around 12:49 p.m., the victim received notification from Fed-ex that the package had been delivered. Then sometime between 12:49 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. the package was stolen from the doorstep of the victim’s apartment.

Authorities say the urn contained ashes of the victim’s father.

The urn has a motorcycle on the top and the victim’s fathers name inscribed on it.

Anyone with information is asked to contact The Morris County Sheriff’s CrimeStoppers at, 973-COP-CALL or use the free “P3 Tips” app on any mobile device.

No one will ask your name and you could receive a reward up to $1,000.
