Pahaquarry Trail, Mt. Tammany Trail in Worthington State Forest closed due to increased bear activity

COLUMBIA, NJ (Warren County) – The Pahaquarry Trail (blue dot), Mt. Tammany trail (red dot) and all access to Mount Tammany in Worthington State Forest is closed until further notice due to increased bear activity, officials said.

Hikers should plan their itineraries accordingly. The access to the Appalachian Trail is not impacted at this time, officials said.
