Passenger injured in fall from ATV in Hunterdon County

KINGWOOD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A passenger was hospitalized after an ATV incident in Hunterdon County Saturday night, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Trooper Charles Marchan.

Troopers responded at 9:37 p.m. to a ATV crash on County Route 519 south at milepost 5.5 in Kingwood Township, Marchan said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a male driver and female passenger in a Polaris all-terrain vehicle were traveling south on County Route 519 when the female passenger fell through the passenger door onto the roadway, Marchan said.

The passenger suffered an ankle and head injury and was transported to an area hospital, Marchan said.

The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.
