Pedestrian struck by train in Warren County

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ (Warren County) – A pedestrian was struck by a Norfolk Southern train Monday morning in Warren County.

It happened about 7:30 a.m. in Phillipsburg, Norfolk Southern spokeswoman Heather Garcia told WRNJ.

There is no word yet on the condition of the person struck.

“We would be remiss if we didn’t add here that the train tracks are simply no place for the public. They are uniquely dangerous places that always beg extra care to ensure everyone’s safety,” Garcia said.

No further information was released.
