Person flown to hospital after being struck by falling tree in Hunterdon County

TEWKSBURY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A person was airlifted to the hospital after being struck by a tree that fell in Hunterdon County on Saturday evening, according to a post on the Tewksbury First Aid and Rescue Squad’s Facebook page.

The incident happened at around 5:15 p.m. at a location on Hollow Brook Road in Tewksbury Township, authorities said.

The person was then flown to an area trauma center.

No further information was available.

The Tewksbury First Aid and Rescue Squad was assisted by the Fairmount Fire Company, Pottersville Volunteer Fire Company, Tewksbury Township Police Department, Hunterdon Mobile Intensive Care Unit paramedics, Long Valley First Aid Squad, and New Jersey State Police NorthStar.
