
Person in custody after SWAT standoff in Hunterdon County
CLINTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A standoff with a barricaded person was safely resolved Saturday evening in Clinton, according to Hunterdon County Acting Prosecutor Michael J. Williams
The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office SWAT Team, Town of Clinton Police Department, and the Clinton Township Police Department responded to a town residence for a barricaded person and that person was taken into custody without incident at around 9:15 p.m, Williams said.
“I would like to commend Chief Kubinak, the Town of Clinton Police Department, Clinton Township Police Department, and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office SWAT team. The officers and the SWAT team that responded today train vigorously for situations like this. Their level of competency and commitment to their profession directly led to bringing the individual into custody without further incident or injury,” Williams said.
