Person trapped in car after 2-vehicle crash in Mansfield Township

MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – One person was trapped in their car following a two-vehicle crash in Mansfield Township Monday afternoon, according to a post on the Tri-County Volunteer Fire Company’s Facebook page.

The crash happened at around 1:29 p.m. at the intersection of Route 57 and Penwell Road.

The fire chief arrived on scene and confirmed a two-vehicle crash with one person trapped. Rescue crew arrived and removed the occupant. Additional members assisted EMS with patient care, the post said.

A medevac helicopter was initially dispatched but was canceled, authorities said.

The crash remains under investigation by the Mansfield Township Police Department.
