PHOTOS: 37th annual QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning

READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – The 37th annual QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning in Association with PNC Bank at Solberg Airport in Readington, NJ is the largest summertime hot air balloon & music festival in North America as well as the premiere family entertainment attraction in New Jersey . The festival kicks off Friday afternoon and runs through Sunday.

The festival offers hundreds of vendors offering arts and crafts. For night-time entertainment check out the fireworks on Friday at 9:30 p.m. and the unique balloon glow on Saturday at 8:30 p.m., Sunrise Yoga and YogaSoul at Health and Wellness Day 7 a.m. Sunday and at 8:05 a.m. Sunday the Running with the Balloons 5K.

Amanda Ayala on Friday at 5 p.m., ABBA The Concert (A Tribute To ABBA) on Friday at 8 p.m., The Band Perry on Saturday at 8 p.m., and The Beach Boys at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Check out the festival’s schedule of events for more information.

The MS MindShift hot air balloon is the only balloon at the festival that’s handicapped accessible. MS Mindshift is an initiative created to share the importance of preserving the brain and its function for people living with multiple sclerosis (MS). They have the only hot air balloon at the festival that’s handicapped accessible. For more information about MS Mindshift click here.

The mass balloon ascensions are at 6:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday and at 6:30 p.m. each night of the festival.
