Police arrest man for trying to meet a 15-year-old in Warren County

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ (Warren County) – A 62-year-old Pennsylvania man went to meet up with who he thought was a 15-year-old, but instead, he was met by an adult and was then arrested, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.

In late July, law enforcement discovered that John Lore of Easton had allegedly engaged in sexually explicit conversations online with an individual who he believed to be 15-years-old, authorities said.

In addition to the sexually themed discussions, Lore then made plans to meet the child in the area of Union Square in Phillipsburg, prosecutor’s office said.

Lore the drove to the location to meet the minor but when he arrived, there was an adult who then contacted the police, authorities said.

Lore was charged with second-degree attempt to lure a child, third-degree attempt to endanger the welfare of a child, and second-degree attempt to sexual assault of a child.
