
Police arrest Warren County man in stolen car with drugs
PHILLIPSBURG, NJ (Warren County) – A Warren County was arrested after police find him driving a stolen vehicle with drugs inside, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s office.
On August 17, Jonathon Hornbaker, 35, was stopped by Phillipsburg Police for moving violations and a subsequent investigation revealed that the motor vehicle was stolen, authorities said.
Police found over one half ounce of suspected heroin, over one ounce of suspected methamphetamine, 21 pills of suspected ecstasy, over a quarter pound of suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and $1,520.00 in cash, prosecutor’s office said.
Hornbaker was charged with, three counts of third-degree possession of controlled dangerous substance, one count of third-degree receiving stolen property, and one count of disorderly persons offense possession of drug paraphernalia.
On August 20, a second complaint was filed charging Hornbaker with one count second-degree possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and one count of second-degree possession with intent to distribute heroin, authorities said.
A warrant has been issued for the defendant’s arrest, prosecutor’s office said.
