Police collecting gift cards for Long Valley house fire victims

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – The Washington Township Police Department is collecting gift cards for a family that lost everything in a house fire early Saturday morning.

The fire was reported at 3:30 a.m. at a residence on Lenore Court.

“Thankfully everyone is all right but they lost all that they had,” police said.

In an effort to help the family through this devastating event, the Washington Township Police are collecting gift cards to help them recover. They have two small boys along with the parents, so anything you can do is appreciated, police said.

Gift cards can be dropped off Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Washington Township Police Department, located at 1 East Springtown Road, in Long Valley.

“Thank you for helping. Washington Township and its residents always come together in times of need, and we thank you in advance for your assistance to this family,” police said.
