Police investigate attempted residential burglary in Mendham Twp

MENDHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Police are investigating an attempted residential burglary in Mendham Township late Saturday night.

Officers responded at around midnight to a residence on Cold Hill Road near Mountainside Road for a attempted burglary, police said.

A suspect broke into a residence & then fled when they encountered the resident, police said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Mendham Township Police Detective Bureau at 973-543-2584.

“As always please ensure your homes are secured, keep outside/inside lights on, utilize properly working alarm systems & report any suspicious activity immediately to the MTPD. Our patrols are always on the road across the Twp 24/7/365 so please do not hesitate to notify us if something doesn’t seem right!,” Mendham Township police said.
