Police investigating attempted luring of 2 girls in Morris County

LONG HILL TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Police are investigating a possible attempted luring of two girls Wednesday afternoon in Long Hill Township.

On Nov. 18, at around 3:10 p.m., township police received a report of an attempted child luring, police said.

According to police, two female juveniles were walking in the area of Stonehouse Road and River Road when they were approached by the suspect in his vehicle. The suspect asked the juveniles to follow him back to his home. The suspect then drove off towards Division Avenue and made a left heading towards Long Hill Road.

The suspect is described as a white male, 50-60 years old, gray hair, heavyset, wearing eyeglasses, and driving a 4 door red sedan.

This is an active investigation and anyone with further information is asked to contact the Long Hill Township Police Department at 908-647-1800 X-0 and ask to speak to the on-duty Sergeant.
