Police: Man charged for doing ‘donuts’, burnouts, drag racing in Lowe’s parking lot

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A man is facing charges after police say he was doing “donuts”, burnouts and drag racing in the Lowe’s parking lot in Hackettstown.

Todd Vanpelt, 18, of Pittstown, NJ were each charged with reckless driving and disorderly conduct.

On Feb. 18, at approx. 5:02 p.m., police responded to the Lowe’s Home Improvement, located at 217 Mountain Avenue, in reference two vehicles doing burnouts, “donuts”, and drag racing in the parking lot, police said.

The driver was identified as Vanpelt, police said. He was charged and has a pending court appearance, police said.
