Police: Man falls asleep while burglarizing car in Hackettstown
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A Morris County man is facing charges after he allegedly burglarized a car — and falling asleep inside the vehicle.
Kyle Sallie, 20, of Mount Olive Township was charged with criminal trespass and burglary.
On Sept. 20, at around 6:08 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Main St for a report of man sleeping in a vehicle, police said.
When officers arrived, they observed Sallie asleep inside a vehicle that didn’t belong to him, police said.
Through a police investigation it was determined that Sallie allegedly entered the vehicle, removed contents from the glove box and then fell asleep, police said.
Sallie was also a New Jersey wanted person out of the Morris County Sheriff’s Office and the original charge was for burglary, police said.
Sallie was lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility.
