BLAIRSTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A giant escapee was on the loose in Blairstown Township Thursday.
Officers responded to a report of a pig grazing on the side of busy County Route 521 in the area near the one lane bridge.
The two officers safely kept the 200-pound pig in custody and out of traffic until the owners were found.
The 2-year-old pig, named Charlie, broke out of his enclosure in the rear yard and wandered on to the road.
Charlie was lead back to its’ home, which was just down the road, as the owner tempted it with a loaf of white bread.
Bob Halberstadt contributed to this report.
