WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Police have released a photo of the vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run crash in Washington Township last weekend.
The Washington Police Department says the accident happened at Route 57 and Buttermilk Bridge Road on Saturday, Sept. 26 at around 1:04 p.m.
A preliminary police investigation revealed that pickup truck was traveling westbound on Route 57 when it struck a Hyundai Sonata, operated by a 32-year-old Washington woman, that was stopped on Route 57 westbound waiting to turn left onto Buttermilk Bridge Road, police said.
The collision caused the Hyundai to cross into the eastbound lane of travel striking a Dodge caravan, operated by a 61-year-old Washington woman, which was traveling eastbound on Route 57, police said.
The driver of the Dodge was transported by Franklin Township F.D. Emergency Squad to St. Luke’s Warren Campus. The driver of the Hyundai was transported to Hunterdon Medical Center by Washington Emergency Squad
Police are looking for a tan colored Ford quad cab pickup truck pulling an open trailer that contained an orange Kubota skid steer that fled the scene.
