Police searching for vehicle, occupants who fled the scene after a crash that caused property damage in Morris County

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Morris Township Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the occupants of a vehicle that allegedly caused property damage and left the scene of an accident earlier this month.

On Sept. 11, at around 5:36 p.m., a silver or grey Volvo made a left onto Harwich Road from Fieldstone Drive. The road was wet and the vehicle then left the roadway, causing property damage, police said.

The vehicle continued down Harwich Road and then came to a stop. Three occupants exited the vehicle and circled it, appearing to be checking for damage. They then return to the vehicle and continued on Harwich Road, leaving the scene of the accident, police said.

A Black BMW was also seen in the area at the time but it’s unknown if the BMW is with the suspect vehicle or was just checking on them after the crash, police said.
