Police seek to ID suspects who allegedly damaged signs in Morristown

MORRISTOWN, NJ (Morris County) – The Morris County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a group of “rowdy and destructive group” suspected of hitting and/or damaging multiple signs in Morristown including a sign at the Church of the Redeemer last weekend.

Multiple surveillance images captured a group of seven males and three females walking east on South Street at around 1:26 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, authorities said.

Some within this group were observed hitting and/or damaging multiple signs as they traveled and ultimately entered two vehicles parked on Dumont Place, authorities said.

Anyone with information on any individuals within this group is asked to contact the Morris County Sheriff’s CrimeStoppers at copcall.org, 973-COP-CALL or use the free “P3 Tips” app on any mobile device.

No one will ask your name and you could receive a reward up to $1,000.
