
Police seeking information in connection with Morris County homicide
MORRISTOWN, NJ (Morris County) – Police are seeking information regarding a homicide that occurred on Clyde Potts Drive in Morristown Wednesday morning, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll.
On August 18, at around 1:03 a.m., police received a 911 call regarding a shooting on Clyde Potts Drive. First responders located a male in the parking lot near 28 Clyde Potts Drive with multiple fatal gunshot wounds, Carroll said.
“Following an autopsy, Morris County Deputy Medical Examiner Dr. Di Wang, M.D. determined the manner of death to be homicide. The victim’s name and identity will not be released at this time,” Carroll said.
“Police have identified a person of interest. The investigation is active and ongoing. No further information will be released at this time in order to protect the integrity of the investigation, Carroll said.
Morristown Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, the New Jersey State Police, Oklahoma State Police and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the homicide.
