PrimoHoagies to open Mansfield Twp. location with free hoagies to first 100 customers

Local entrepreneur and Philadelphia native makes dream of owning a hoagie shop a reality with PrimoHoagies’ newest location

MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – PrimoHoagies, known for its gourmet hoagies with high-quality meats and cheeses piled high on fresh-baked rolls, announced the grand opening of its location in Mansfield Township is set for Tuesday, June 21 at 10:00 a.m.

Owned by local entrepreneur Ryan Dougherty, the franchise is located at 1930 Route 57. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin promptly at 9:45 a.m.

PrimoHoagies will give the first 100 customers* in line at the Mansfield Township location on June 21 a free Primo Size Hoagie. For the rest of grand opening day, customers in the rewards program will enjoy Primo Size Hoagies for just $6.99.

Using recipes passed down through the generations for its iconic hoagies, PrimoHoagies layers Thumann’s gourmet meats and cheeses, a secret blend of spices, and locally sourced, fresh vegetables onto award-winning, seeded rolls that are baked fresh throughout the day. The casual restaurant’s diverse menu features a wide variety of cold and hot hoagies, cheesesteaks, wraps, vegetarian options, sides, chips, drinks, cookies, desserts, and more.

First-time business owner Ryan Dougherty is a longtime PrimoHoagies fan excited to bring the brand to Mansfield Township. The moment Ryan first tried the iconic Philadelphia hoagie brand, he was enamored with the food as well as the family-style business model. Since then, Ryan has made it his mission to open his own PrimoHoagies. With years of management and proven leadership under his belt, he’s ready to take on the challenge.

“I’ve been wanting to do this for close to 12 years now,” said Dougherty.

The first time I went to PrimoHoagies was in Ocean City, New Jersey. I heard about it, gave it a try, and at that moment, I fell in love and started thinking about how I could own my own location someday. Life gets in the way sometimes, but the perfect time and opportunity emerged and I couldn’t be happier to finally bring my PrimoHoagies to the Hackettstown area, Dougherty said.

The Philadelphia native previously worked as a superintendent for a golf course down the road from the location of his new venture. Already familiar with the area, Ryan knows Hackettstown area is a college town and the perfect audience for the PrimoHoagies brand. He hopes to incorporate student activities and the community into his business model as much as possible. In the future, Ryan intends to open two more PrimoHoagies locations.

The 2,000 square-foot retail store, expected to employ 15 people, will offer dine-in, takeout, and delivery options. PrimoHoagies also offers catering, including its popular hoagie trays – perfect for special events, gameday, and luncheons.

This location will be open from 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. daily.

PrimoHoagies is committed to customer and employee safety as New Jersey recovers from COVID-19. High-touch surfaces will be frequently sanitized and the store will remain in compliance with all state and federal guidelines.
