Psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana found during traffic stop in Mount Olive Twp.

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Middlesex County woman is facing several charges after drugs were allegedly found during a traffic stop in Mount Olive Township.

Amanda Bueno, 26, of Edison was charged with speeding, failure to maintain a lane, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.The following charges are pending: possession of psilocybin, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On April 20, at 12:10 a.m., an officer was on Route 206 when the officer observed a
2020 Toyota traveling south at a high rate of speed and failing to maintain a lane, police said.

The officer stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver, who was identified as Bueno. During the course of the investigation, the officer determined she was in possession of suspected marijuana and Psilocybin, commonly known as mushrooms, police said.

Buena was charged and released pending a court appearance.
