As usual, this great annual event proved to be a success, with golfers, volunteers and spectators who enjoyed a fantastic day of golf, fun and fundraising.
“Warmth is what we’re all about and that also means doing our best to warm the hearts, lives and homes of children and families, too,” General Manager of Region Energy Dennis Clemens said.
“When it comes to helping local neighbors in need, there really is no better organization than United Way of Northern New Jersey. Throughout its five-county footprint, United Way helps a population they call ALICE, which stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. Despite working hard, ALICE and households in poverty struggle to afford the basics. That’s why we are thrilled that this year we raised over $34,500. Over the past six years, we’ve raised over $100,000 to help improve the lives of ALICE essential workers through our annual Golf Classic, which is amazing! We want to thank all the customers, local businesses and volunteers who came out to support us this year to raise money for such a great cause. We are so grateful for everyone’s generosity and time,” Clemens said.
