Route 46 westbound single lane closure beginning Friday in Parsippany-Troy Hills

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, NJ (Morris County) – Route 46 westbound is scheduled to have a single lane closure beginning Friday underneath the I-80 eastbound overpass in Parsippany-Troy Hills.

From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 3, approximately 200 feet of the left lane on Route 46 where it becomes three lanes, before the ramp to I-80 westbound to I287/Delaware Water Gap is scheduled to be closed.

The ramp to I-80 westbound is expected to remain open while work is taking place.

The closure is necessary to make repairs underneath the Route I-80 eastbound Bridge over Route 46 westbound and is expected to be in place until early 2024. At least two lanes of traffic will be maintained during construction.

The work is part of a $10 million state-funded maintenance contract to repair bridge structures at various locations in eight counties throughout North Jersey.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website for real-time travel information.
