Route 57 single lane closures on Dec. 12 as culvert replacement project begins in Lopatcong Township

Alternating traffic will be maintained during construction

LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Route 57 is scheduled to have single lane closures tomorrow as a culvert replacement project advances in Lopatcong Township.

From 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 12, single lane closures are scheduled on Route 57 in both directions between Red School Lane and Hyde Boulevard. The closures are necessary to remove rumble strips. Alternating traffic will be maintained during construction.

The $8.1 million federally funded project will replace the existing culvert on Route 57 over Lopatcong Creek. The project also includes guiderail replacement and paving. Work is expected to be complete in fall 2024.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website for construction updates and  real-time travel information
