Section of Grand Ave in Hackettstown to be milled Aug. 24-25

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Grand Ave between Second Ave and the one lane underpass is tentatively scheduled to be milled on Thursday, August 24, and Friday, August 25 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting, according to police.

Grand Ave will be closed between Frist Ave and the one lane underpass. Rockport Road will also be closed at Allen Road in Mansfield Township. Side streets in the area will be closed, police said.

Anyone needing access to a residence or a business between First Ave and the one lane underpass must enter from the Hackettstown side. Anyone that usually accesses Centenary University off of Grand Ave must enter off of Reese Ave, police said.

Plan alternate route and expect delays in the area, police said.

If you plan on using your vehicle during the milling, please remove your vehicle from your driveway by 6:30 a.m. Access to your driveways will be available each day when the barricades are removed. During the milling, parking will be permitted at the Tannery Ball Field, police said.
