Section of Route 615 in Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area reopens, barn stabilized
WALPACK TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – Route 615 in Walpack Township has reopened in the vicinity of the Chado Farm complex.
Route 615 in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area was closed between the Haneys Mill and Pompey Ridge Road in February due to a potential collapse of a barn alongside the road.
“After consultation with the NJ State Historic Preservation Office and the local power company, park maintenance crews have removed the wall that was leaning toward the road and the remaining structure has been stabilized,” National Park Service officials said.
