NEW JERSEY – Senator Michael Doherty (R-23) was honored as the top conservative lawmaker in the New Jersey Senate by the American Conservative Union.
Doherty received the “Award for Conservative Excellence” in recognition of his voting record in the 2021 legislative session.
Senator Doherty received a 94% ranking from the American Conservative Union (ACU), the nation’s oldest conservative grassroots organization. According to the ACU scorecard, Doherty is the highest rated conservative state senator in New Jersey.
The “Award for Conservative Excellence” is given to legislators who vote consistently with the ideals articulated in the U.S. Constitution: limited and transparent government, individual rights, personal responsibility, and lasting cultural values.
