Sergeantsville Volunteer Fire Company and Stockton Fire Company announce merger, information session to be held on Jan. 11

HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ – The Sergeantsville Volunteer Fire Company and the Stockton Fire Company are hosting an information session for residents of Delaware Township and Stockton Borough on Jan. 11 regarding the merger of both companies into one emergency services organization under the Sergeantsville Volunteer Fire Company legal entity.

The combined organization will operate as the Sergeantsville Volunteer Fire Company and this strategic partnership will further strengthen the emergency services in Delaware Township, Stockton Borough, and the surrounding areas.

The two fire companies have been responding to emergency calls together through mutual aid agreements since 2014, and this merger represents the culmination of their shared vision for the future of emergency response in their respective communities.

The consolidation of the two existing fire companies will ensure that the organizational missions and services provided by both entities will remain unchanged and will be strengthened through operational efficiencies.

The newly merged entity will be able to capitalize on recruitment efforts as well as cost saving opportunities.

An information session will be held on Thursday, Jan 11, at 7:00 p. m. at the Sergeantsville Volunteer Fire Company Banquet Hall located at 761 Sergeantsville Road in Sergeantsville.

Following a brief presentation, a merger consultant and the Executive Leadership of both organizations will be available to answer questions.
