Skydiver airlifted to hospital after Sussex County skydiving incident

WANTAGE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A person was airlifted to a hospital after a skydiving incident in Wantage Township Sunday afternoon, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Charles Marchan.

Troopers responded at around 1:51 p.m. to a wooded swamp area north of the Sussex County Airport for the report of a skydiver down with injuries, Marchan said.

The skydiver was flown to an area hospital for further evaluation, Marchan said.

No additional information was available.
