Squirrel attacks man in Warren County

WASHINGTON BOROUGH, NJ (Warren County) – In Washington Borough, beware of the crazy squirrel.

A 28-year-old man suffered scratches to his face after being attacked by a squirrel Sunday afternoon, police said.

On May 3, at 2:58 p.m., police responded to a residence on East Washington Ave for a man that was attacked by a squirrel while taking out the garbage, police said.

He suffered scratches to his face and refused medical treatment, police said.

“Any warm blooded creature can carry rabies, however, there is a very low probability that it had rabies,” police said.
