Suspicious vehicle leads to DUI arrest in Hunterdon County

FLEMINGTON BOROUGH, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Bergen County man is facing charges including driving under the influence after an investigation into a suspicious vehicle in Flemington Borough.

On Saturday, April 23, police responded to the area of Main Street near the post office for a report of a suspicious vehicle, police said.

When officers arrived, a man, later identified as Luis Chavez-Saenz, 30, of North Arlington, was located in the driver seat, asleep with the vehicle running and in gear. A front seat passenger was also asleep, police said.

Chavez-Saenz was then removed from the vehicle and found to be under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Chavez­-Saenz was subsequently arrested and charged with DUI, careless driving, reckless driving and driving lamps required. He was then released to a family member pending a court appearance, police said.
