Suspicious vehicle leads to DWI arrest in Readington Twp.

READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Middlesex County woman is facing charges including driving while intoxicated after an investigation into a suspicious vehicle in Readington Township.

Charlette Aviles of Fords was charged with DWI and driving with a suspended driver’s license.

On Saturday, Sept. 5, at around 4:19 a.m., a township officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the Wells Fargo Bank parking lot and then checked on the vehicle and the occupants, police said.

The vehicle was occupied by Aviles and a male passenger. During the investigation, the officer determined that the vehicle was operated by Aviles who had consumed alcoholic beverages, police said.

Avile performed standardized field sobriety test, which she allegedly failed. Avile was then arrested and charged charged. She was released to a sober adult pending a court appearance.
