Sussex County Library System seeking teen volunteers to assist with upcoming summer reading program

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – The Sussex County Library System (SCLS) is seeking teen volunteers, ages 14-18, to assist with the upcoming summer reading program, “Adventure Begins at Your Library.”

Teens looking for service hours this summer can apply online at Sussex County Library Volunteer or by visiting their local library branch.

The volunteer application, along with a supplemental medical note and parent consent form, are due no later than June 15. Applicants must also attend a Teen Volunteer Orientation at their local branch.

The Summer Reading program kicks off on June 27 with special opening events at each library location and runs through July 27. Besides volunteering, teens are invited to participate in the Summer Reading Program by reading books, earning raffle tickets, and entering to win prizes.

Visit Sussexcountylibrary.org/summer-reading for more information on the 2024 Summer Reading Program. All events and programs are free and open to all. Prize winners must have a library card.
